Contract teachers take out rally

The teachers, contract teachers, Guruji etc took out a rally on recall of teachers, contract teachers joint association on Wednesday. The women were also seen resented and angry during one kilometer long rally.

There was road blockade like situation up to two hours at collectorate where the association executives addressed the rally.

According to sources, the teachers from all over district had gathered at Sanjay Park from where they reached at collectorate at 1pm and the association leaders and executives addressed the rally up to 4pm. The contract teachers staged sit in to protest the wrong policy of government.

State Teachers’ Association divisional president Shivraj Sharma addressing the meeting said that it was warning of contract teachers to the government for three days and if our demands are not fulfilled soon then mass leave will be extended for indefinite period.

He said that contract teachers should be merged in education department immediately, they should be given equal salary for equal work along with benefit of sixth pay commission. He warned that these demands should be accepted immediately otherwise the contract teachers will stop teaching system at schools and government will be responsible for it.

Munnalal Sharma, Harendra Parmar, Dharmendra Tomar of Porsa block, Keshav Shukla, Rakesh Jadaun, Ramakant Sharma and Shailendra Tomar of Kailaras addressed the meeting at collectorate.
